The Church of St. Benedict in Avon Minnesota has a rich history of welcoming individuals and families since 1928. The parish is located five minutes away from St. John’s University in Collegeville and is staffed by a Benedictine monks. One of the Benedictine principles is to welcome all guests as if they were Christ Himself and we strive to that daily.
Our parish is widely known for its successful youth programs. Our Faith Formation program holds 210 students from pre-school to grade 11. One of the things that makes our programs unique is our big push for social justice and offering mission trips for our teens. Mission trips teach our teens how to love and serve communities with compassion and mercy. The goal is to learn about service and to take what we learn and apply it to our own communities. The impact of these trips leads to more families and youth attending Liturgy on Sundays and to a deeper encounter with Jesus Christ. Our parish is thriving and attracting young families from surrounding areas to grow in faith together as a community.
To help us continue to grow and thrive, we need your help to continue to make these programs possible and to ensure families have the best quality faith experience. Consider giving a financial gift or your time by volunteering. To volunteer, please contact our Director of Faith Formation, Ministry and Music, Jason Prigge at: 320.356.0763 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We thank you for your generosity and giving us the opportunity to help people grow in their relationship with Christ.
